Tribu is going to be your cozy home “away from home” where you can cook your food and enjoy your meal on a spacious wooden balcony overlooking the lush garden. Below the terrace there are numerous hammocks that are perfect for the famous Mexican “siesta”. And for a sweet end of the day we have a roof-top terrace for you to enjoy the sunset right on the sea or count the stars once the light is out.
Being in Mexico you want to try a Margarita for sure, right? NO PROBLEM: we also have a nice bar that offers different activities every night: jam sessions, movie nights, live music, quiz nights, giant Jenga, dress-up parties and much more.
Above all we know, that your travel will be defined by memories and the memories by people, which is why we organise a lot of courses, activities or fun stuff to make it easier for you to make friends for the day, friends for your trip of even friends for life. We want our travellers to feel as a part of a big “Tribe”!
Come and leave your footprint…
We (Mia and David) discovered this beautiful island in 2007, while travelling around Mexico for the first time, searching for colors, new experiences, tastes and feelings. After two years of doubts and insecurities we decided to take off to make a little dream come true: to build a hostel! We are both graduated in physical education, but once this seed started to grow we found ourselves into carpentry and interior design. As the construction begun, the first room that we built was the atelier and then we started to buy machines and materials to make all the furniture ourselves. David into cutting, shaping and mounting, Mia into painting and decorating, we started to accept travellers to stay and work with us..and so far: we never stopped to do so and to learn more. We want to give you something that WE would have loved to find while travelling around the world. We enjoy our job and we work hard to make Tribu every day a nicer place..so basically we struggle to make your trip cooler. David’s parents (Pr. & Mr.) were the fertile ground that made possible all this and his brother Civas is the engineer behind the whole project and the architecture design.
